Democracy for America is partnering with the effort led by former Sen. Russ Feingold's (D-Wis.) Progressives United, and joined by, CREDO, Daily Kos, Sierra Club, the League of Conservation Voters, and Presente to boycott all Facebook ads. We have announced that we will either pull the Facebook ads we've already paid for or hold purchases of new ads for a minimum of two weeks in response to the tactics of Zuckerberg's new political organization,

Here's a statement from DFA Executive Director, Arshad Hasan:

“While the cynical, disrespect of voters that illustrates in their ads might play well among Washington's lobbying class, it takes a special level of disdain for the American people to believe that insulting the intelligence is the best way to pass comprehensive immigration reform. Plain and simple: If Facebook executives are going to fund efforts that try to pit progressive priorities against one another and divide the progressive movement, we’re going to stop funding them.”

In addition, we strongly oppose the TV ad campaign praising lawmakers for supporting projects like the Keystone XL pipeline and drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

Please let us know how you feel about Zuckerberg's in the comments.

Tar sands are sounding the death knell for civilization as we know it. No one who has children they care about should ignore this devastating industry and its consequences for every living being on the planet. My family and I are boycotting all things Canadian and fighting tooth and nail against this despicable industry until these profiteering idiots start prioritizing good sense and a sustainable energy future instead of dollar signs.
