We are still talking Impeachment!

Hello All,

I sent this out a few days ago to select people after I had a Conference call about Impeachment via Progressive Democrats of America (PDA). Anyhow I feel terrible for it did not go out to all in our group-I simply forgot to post here. With all that is going on in the Country, World, and even Las Vegas,NV during this year I just assumed.... well, I ask for forgiveness and here is a letter with good links that I received from a new friend in Mass with PDA and she has the same dilemas we do and task getting our voice back in this Country by electing Democrats this year! I also have another e-mail of samadams56@excite.com It is good to keep the spys at bay!

Good morning, friends. The top offering today explains why Feingold's
resolution -- which is going to be an uphill battle, though it
shouldn't be -- has become much larger than the NSA issue, larger even
than Bush; it's a referendum on the state of the Democratic Party. It's
my impassioned statement of why we do what we do, and I hope you read
it and, if you think it's important, please do what you can to put it
in wider circulation.

Here's what's on the blog this morning:

The Big Question

Why the hell do we keep beating our heads against this wall?

Part of the answer is practical: little by little, we are making a
difference.... Real, living, breathing voters are the lobbyist's
Kryptonite, and all of us who call and write and strive to make our
voices heard do so because, over time, it really does make a
difference. As Margaret Meade wrote, it's the only thing that ever has.
But the answer also is that we would do this work whether it seemed to
make a difference or not.... We don't fight because we have any advance
assurance that we'll prevail, but because, loving our country, and
knowing what is right, we have no other choice. We fight or we accede,
and so we fight. It's what good people do.

We have the right to demand -- not ask, like subjects, but demand, as
citizens -- that our representatives do no less. We are entitled to
expect that they will fight with the same passion we do, motivated by
the same sense of what is right rather than what is merely expedient,
with the same courage based on hope rather than caution based on
fear...

Feingold has finally called The Big Question. In the Senate Democratic
Caucus are Patriots who love the Nation and the Constitution that
defines it, and Politicians who hoard their perquisites and their
power. The two will now be separated, pols from patriots, goats from
sheep. Thanks to Feingold, there is no longer a place to hide....

For every Democrat in Congress, here's a little help, because I know
you're not all that great with words: "I'm all for spying on
terrorists, but if you're going to spy on Americans, you have to abide
by the law. We can be both safe and free." Repeat 1,000 times and call
me in November...
