Why I support Brian Moran for Governor of Virginia

Brian is a true servant of the people of the Commonwealth.  As a legislature, he didn’t just represent his constituency, he represented the Commonwealth as one body.

Legislative Champion of Alicia’s Law and Victims & Witness of crime legislation

Legislative Hero from the League of Conservation Voters

Legislator of the Year from MADD

Brian has criss-crossed the Commonwealth to get Democrats elected.  His leadership as the Democratic Caucus Chair was a key component behind the momentum that turned Virginia Blue!  He has first hand experience in working with and understanding the very different areas across the Commonwealth.  He does not descend from on high with the presumption that the culture of Northern Virginia is the only culture in the Commonwealth.

Brian’s success in reaching out to all the people is from his genuineness and his ability to LISTEN.  I have observed first hand how intently he listens when hearing from Virginians.  He doesn’t trivialize the conversation nor over bear others.  He doesn’t take himself too seriously realizing he’s human, but he knows how to take the matters at hand seriously.  He is not interested in presenting a laundry list of who he hob-knobs with, but with who he has helped.

To sum it up, I support Brian Moran for Governor because I believe his experience and character are the exact combination we need on the ticket in November and ultimately in the Governor’s Mansion for the next four years!

He will have work cut out for him cleaning up the Chesapeake Bay, so an environmentally adept leader is a good choice for VA Gov.

BTW Happy 5th Anni. to DFA!
