Top Down vs. Bottom Up
I am beginning to wonder if a better strategy for Health Care might be driven more effectively from a community level than from the current top down approach. If we can take the current set of ideas and work through community/party organizations - for example, by forming community based options through local or state governments that can offer competition to the big Insurers. Can we have a state based public option? Could state based public options then work with Federal Medicare on a state by state basis?
Is what Vermont has implemented a model to extend?
