Florida Sen. Bill Nelson is the 41st Senator to say he would support passing a public option through reconciliation—proof that once again, the public option isn't dead despite what the media says.

You can view the full list of Sentors who've gone on the record here. It's all part of our whip campaign with the PCCC and CREDO.

Ryan Grim at HuffPo has more:

Forty-one puts Democrats just nine votes short. The number of senators who have publicly committed to the option is striking because the momentum has come without any organized effort by Senate leadership or from the White House.

DFA's Charles Chamberlain:

"We are 9 Senators away from victory, while the White House continues to act like these votes don't exist. It's time for both houses of Congress to commit to an up-or-down vote on the public option -- and to invite the White House to help lead or get out of the way."

If your Democratic senator hasn't yet said they are willing to vote "yes" on the public option in reconciliation, can you call them today? Click here and we'll get you started.
