Rewriting History Texas-Style

Texas’ Board of Education has approved a new social studies curriculum with a conservative seal of approval. After three days of debate the board voted to change the curriculum to explicitly present Republican philosophies and conservative leaders in a more positive light.

Give Don Siegelman His Due: Put Eric Holder on the Hot Seat

Attorney General Eric Holder sits before the Senate Judiciary Committee Tuesday, March 23. His deafening silence on former Governor Don Siegelman's case needs to end.

~~~
Wish that they found it just as disagreeable that an American citizen, wrongly convicted and held as a political prisoner, should be faced with more prison time. That American is, of course, former Governor Don Siegelman. Now out on appeal, without Holder's ruling on this dispicable Rove-soaked case, Siegelman faces a return to prison.
Yet, despite 75 former attorneys general asking Holder to investigate the prosecutorial misconduct in Siegelman's case, Obama's DOJ has been largely silent.
Let's make noise about where the Senate Judiciary Committee members' real focus should be. If your senator sits on the committee (listed below), please call and urge him or her to confront Holder while he is under the hot lights of the camera. The toll-free number is 800-828-0498.
