Bond Faulwell for Representative

Background:

Retired US Government Senior Executive - over 23 years a member of the SES;
Adjunct faculty member in political science at Park University and Johnson County Community College

Goals:

I am running against the extreme right wing's control of this area. There has never been a Democrat candidate in this district and the Republican candidate the right wing has selcted is a 26 year old moved into an apartment in the district to be "given the seat."

Issues:

1) Education - adequate financing and keeping right wing dogma on science and sex education from being force fed to our children;
2) Economic Development - promoting the life sciences (including stem cell research) and urban mass transportation;
3) Health care - providing insurance opportunities for those working pople who do not have it available.

Grassroots Support:

My campaign is a door-to-door operation. I have been adding volunteers who are helping me contact each voter in the district and registering new voters. Republicans out number Democrats 3:1, but moderate Republicans are supporting us.

DFA Values:

I Strongly support providing all people an ability to secure medical insurance. We need to improve mass transit systems so people are able to travel to jobs without being forced to buy cars or pay outrageous prices for gasoline. I will work to protect the courts from a legislative destruction of checks and balances. My literature makes it clear that the Republican increase in bonded indebtedness must be stopped and we need to keep government on a pay as you go basis.
