Why am I running?

I am running because the good people of the 41st Congressional District deserve a Representative who will be accessible in the district and work hard in Washington to solve the problems that face all of us on a daily basis.

My Goals

The economy, education and immigration.

The key to repairing the economy is two fold. We need to stimulate job growth, which considering that over 70% of all jobs are in small businesses, means that we must persuade banks to make loans available to them. The second is that we need to insure home ownership and stimulate new construction and repair. Both can be accomplished by again persuading banks to provide such loans.

A free, quality, public education is at the heart of a functioning democracy. We need multiple testing measures on multiple subjects. We need to bring back the innovation that made America unique, through elective and vocational classes. We need to invest in one public school system and quit blaming the teachers.

Immigration is a national issue and demands a federal response as opposed to a state-by-state solution that includes securing the borders and establishing a pathway to inclusion for those who are already within our borders.

My DFA Values

My Campaign is People Powered!

1. Financially: I am not receiving support financially or with personnel from either the State or National party. My contributors number over 500 and give less than $500 each. I have some support from unions and Democratic clubs, but no corporations or businesses.
2. There is no major media in the district. Campaigning is done face-to-face and mostly in small groups. My staff is completely volunteer.

About the Endorsement Process

All campaigns seeking a DFA endorsement are first required to complete the endorsement application in order to be considered. Members of the DFA Political team will review applications after submission and make endorsement decisions on a rolling basis throughout the applicable election cycle.

The driving force behind all DFA endorsements is our membership. We gauge DFA member support in a number of different ways. For starters, supporters can publicly show their support on any candidate’s application page. We also utilize endorsement decisions of local DFA groups as a measure of local community support. Finally, if you know a candidate deserving of a DFA endorsement who hasn’t yet applied, we want to hear about them! Please visit the Endorsement FAQ page for answers to frequently asked questions about our endorsement process.

If you still have any questions, or want to let us know about a candidate in your neighborhood, please call us at (802) 651-3200 or email us at [email protected] .
