Background:
Long history of working with progressive non-profit organizations: Butte Community Union, Action Alliance of Senior Citizens of Greater Philadelphia, Montana Environmental Information Center, Last Chance Peacemakers Coalition, Northeast Philadelphia for Peace and Justice, Tenants' Action group of Philadelphia, Fair Housing Coalition of Montgomery County, Energy Cooperative Association of PA, et cetera I have a BA in US History from Temple University. I completed most of the requirements for a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Uni. of Montana. I hiked the entire Appalachian Trail north to south in 1976. I am the second oldest of eleven children. I worked for three different Philadelphia City Councilman: Alvin Stewart, Angel Ortiz, and David Cohen. I have been dealing with public policy issues for thirty years through paid employment and volunteer activism. Currently, I am active with a group of people who are working to Save Burholme Park from the proposed expansion of the Fox Chase Cancer Center.
Goals:
To secure free, universal, comprehensive, health care for all citizens.
To create a Pennsylvania Pension to supplement Social Security.
To create a new Democratic Majority in the state House of Representatives.
Issues:
1. Universal Health Care
2. Greater funding for the Philadelphia Public Schools, and better (equal to the suburban average) academic performance for the schools.
3. Break Comcast's monopoly and reduce their prices.

I believe in progressive taxation. I believe in balancing the budgets on the backs of the rich and wealthy.
