Why am I running?

I have a passion for making our country a better place for the citizens I fought for. I care about all of the People of South West Florida, not just one party. I reach out to everyone from our own Democrats to Libertarians and the far right. I meet them with Dialog, not Rhetoric. I have been welcomed by all groups because of my depth of Knowledge on the issues and willingness to engage in dialog. I love being able to reach voters with facts and make them understand that much of what they hear in the media is spun so far that the truth is lost. I enjoy the hard work and long hours of serving my fellow citizens.

My Goals

My top goal is JOBS! I have worked with colleges and corporations in the past to build a link from school to work. I understand how to bring jobs back to the USA and protect them from illegal trade practices of other nations.

My second goal it to get our government back in the hands of the citizens. We must have campaign finance reform to limit the power of corporations and lobbyists. We must overturn Citizens United. I know that when the money is removed from politics, much of the gridlock in congress will also be removed.

My DFA Values

This legacy campaign is missing this information

My Campaign is People Powered!

Our campaign is constantly reaching out in new ways to people at the grassroots level. We developed a way to reach our local voters by "mining" Facebook. We use the voter records to locate and contact voters with positive messages that drive them to our facebook page.

Our campaign also supports many of the local events and increase the visibility of Democrats in our area. We often have booths and our campaign team volunteers at charity events.

Our campaign also serves new candidates by mentoring them and providing a detailed "Lessons Learned" booklet with laws, contacts, tips and advice from other candidates.

About the Endorsement Process

The driving force behind all DFA endorsements is our members. We recognize that all politics is local and that what is considered progressive in Los Angeles may be very different from what's considered progressive in Louisville. For this reason, DFA does not have a litmus test of specific progressive positions for which a candidate must stand. Our endorsement is heavily weighted based on these questions:

• Will the candidate move the progressive movement forward in their community?
• Does the candidate have substantial support from our local members?
• Do the candidate's positions and policies fit into the broader progressive movement?
• Is the campaign people-powered and the candidate working to win?

If you have questions, or want to let us know about a candidate in your neighborhood, please call us at (802) 651-3200 or email us at [email protected] .
