Background:

Mother of 7, grandmother of 13, married to same great guy for 40 years, university teacher of thousands, Ph.D. in Applied Biological Psychology, polio survivor, Katrina survivor, lifelong resident of LA District 01.

Goals:

To give my people the representation they deserve, and to give working men and women, small business owners, veterans, senior citizens, and children a break.

Issues:

Developmentally appropriate education.
Redeployment of our military out of Iraq.
Affordable, accessible health care for all.

Grassroots Support:

Grassroots organizing is imperative. Volunteers must be kept on task and energized to strengthen their numbers.

DFA Values:

I want smart government not big government. Smart government enables its people to provide for themselves without unnecessary giveaways. Smart government manages funds more equitably so that the most vulnerable among us are not neglected. Smart government reverses the class warfare policies in Washington which give tax breaks to the upper 1% and a raw deal to the remaining 99%. Smart government pays as it goes and stretches every dollar.
