John Thrasher for U.S. House of Representatives

Background:

I'm a retired college teacher of 30 years and have earned two degrees. Life member of NEA/AEA, Past-President of CBDNA, married with two adult children with college degress. I have lived in Arizona since 1957, Faculty Emeritus from Maricopa Colleges and Distinguished Alumni Award from Northern Arizona University. Wife Jackie Thrasher is a teacher and state legistator.

Goals:

My decision to run is directly relates to the incumbent not representing the working families in District 2, not supporting our infrastructure and public schools, nor, health care for children, seniors and making it affordable.
My goals are to restore and continue a living wage, have education accessible to all that want to attend, bring back the middle class by strengthing unions that will provide pensions, saftey and barganing. One priority is to reverse the NAFTA and bring jobs back into the country to replace the millions of jobs this administration has foolishly outsourced.

Issues:

1. End the War, restore our image by reparing the damage we've done and harm we've caused.
2. Return the manufacturing jobs, guarantee education through college, secure the border and get a hold of the immigrants that are being paid by unscrupulous business men to document them with legal papers.
3. Government must not be secretive and must not ignore the constitution, rather, work with the voters and why we send them to congress. It is their voice that is not reaching Washinton, and no one in this administration is listening to us.

Grassroots Support:

I am a grassroots candidate, indicating I do not have an oil well. I'm reaching out to as many as possible for contributions to support their ideas and needs to keep America strong and respected.

DFA Values:

Government can play a role in supporting America. America must have health care for all, education for all and our infrastructure must be garded, i.e. along with the environmental concerns, water, clean air. We no longer can remain as the 'borrowing' nation in the world and creating the irresponsible unsustainable debt.
