Judy "JJ" Juliano

Background:

I am a proud first generation Italian American, being one of three child. I have worked in the medical professional as a Registered Nurse over 25 years. My community and political involvement is long and varied throughout the 23 years in this SW Florida County. I am the State Committee woman elected in 2004, representing the Florida Democratic Party for Charlotte County Florida. I currently recieved an achievement award for " best individual effort for community service" as nominated by my peers.
The performing arts is also a great passion, I am activly involved as a performer, stage manager, and general supporter.

Goals:

I want to take what I do best which is listen, stand, and advocate for people. I want to take this to a different level in public service.
I am running because I care about the direction of Florida. We need stronger representation for our working and middle class people of this district.
I am running for public office to build a better Florida for all of us. I am running to improve our quality of life with affordable communities, solid eonomy, healthy families and a clean environment.
I believe it is time to shake up the old conventions in Tallahassee that being a Republican is an entitlement program for election or re-election in our County or State.
My goals are to be part of the change towards streamlining healthcare cost, moving Florida towards quality jobs, moving Florida ahead in the field of Biofuel/biomass, and to protect the unique Florida environment for future generations.

Issues:

1)Streamlining Health care cost.
2) Keeping Florida affordable. 3)Comprehensive smart growth plan.

Grassroots Support:

The only way we can get our Country and our State back for the people, is to have the people stand up and make it happen, just like they have always done throughout our history.
The reality is, you need grassroots people in order to win in a district that hasn't seen a Democrat run for this office in 12 years.
"It does not matter so much where we are....
as the direction which we are moving".
Volunteers are the backbone of winning local elections, no one can do this without you. You can feel the winds of change in the air. I believe the Democrats will emerge stronger in Florida because of all the great candidates and the people who deeply care about moving in a better direction.

DFA Values:

Being fiscally responsible is second nature to me on a Registered Nurse's salary. During the past 25 years I have lived by the 3% rule.
I know the meaning of financial boundaries and how to live within this framework.
I have always walked the walk of live and let live. When patients are in my care there isn't a boundary of where people come from or what their political, social or personal belief's are in order to achieve the best outcome for them.
