Bill Conner for U.S. Congress, Ohio 7th District
| Name: | Bill Conner for U.S. Congress, Ohio 7th District |
| Office: | OH-07 |
| Website: | connerForUS.com |
Background:
BS and MS Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineerint, Purdue. Retired from Air Force.
Goals:
We need fundemental changes in Congress. I have a record of confronting serious problems in highly charged political environments in the Air Force and forcing effective solutions. I do that in an open and honest way. I can do that in Congress. I am strictly honest and ethical and will not back down. We must end lobbyist control and have a strict system of ethics. We can and must end the budget deficit in 2009. I have the answers to these and nearly 40 other important problems facing our nation.
Issues:
Ending the War in Iraq, ending the budget deficit, and single payer universal health care.
Grassroots Support:
In 2006, I spent $14,000 against $2 Million by the incumbent, Hobson. I recieved 40 % of the vote which was the best showing for a Democrat in 26 years. We were entirely a grass roots campaign. In 2008, I will be running for an empty seat and we have many more active supporters. It will be grassroots again. Analysis of the Presidentail Primaries in Iowa and New Hampshire show that the days of buying elections with heavy TV may be declining. A grassroots campaign can win if the candidate has important things to say. Your review of my web site will confirm that I certainly have that.
DFA Values:
I am a governing board member in my church (Beaver United Church of Christ) and support a number of public causes such as food pantry, recycling, and home repairs.
