Joe Weingarten for District 29 Representative

Background:

I worked for 30 years in the Federal Government in the Air Force in Research and Development of Aircraft. Developed long range planning. Also owned a successful computer business.

Goals:

I am tired of the people in office who do not care about people and seem to do nothing. I got involved in a major annexation issue in Indiana and found how bad many of these people are in office. I believe we must change the way we do business in this state. It's backwards and stuck in the 1800's.

Issues:

Property Taxes and Annexation
Green, Environment and Energy
Education

Grassroots Support:

This is my first time running for office and I am new to the area having moved here two years ago. I need a considerable amount of help and believe with that help I can win this election.

DFA Values:

I firmly believe we need to take care of people, it is the best way to slove many of our problems. If we provide education, crime goes down, if we provide food and shelter, crime goes down. We also then have people who can enter the workforce and this results in a better community. I have been in government in a position with a great deal of spending authority and was always careful about the spending. I believe the tax structure of Indiana results in wasteful allocation of funds as their are no checks and balances within the state.
