A Critical Moment
Linked to campaigns: Andrew Rice for U.S. Senator
(Disclaimer: This post is from an Andrew Rice campaign email. I do not work for Rice's campaign, but I am an intern at Democracy for America.)
It's more clear than ever that if my message about new leadership and new solutions in Washington stays on the air, I have a real chance to be the next U.S. Senator from Oklahoma. That’s where you come in.
We have purchased two weeks of airtime. If we raise an additional $35,000, we can stay on the air one more week in the Oklahoma City media market.

It's only been three days and already my first television ad has generated a tremendous response in Oklahoma and been covered in news outlets across the state.
Here are some of the early reviews:
"Thank you, thank you, thank you for running for office against Inhofe," wrote a young voter from Oklahoma City.
"I know who I'm voting for," said a caller from Chickasha.
"Love the new TV ad," wrote a supporter from Stillwater.
"This is an effective 30-second spot," wrote a blogger on Political Realm.
Our research shows that when Oklahoma voters learn about me and my positions for a clean energy economy, against the war in Iraq, for individual privacy rights and for expanded access to health care, the majority choose me over Inhofe.
Think about how many more thousands of swing voters will learn about this campaign for the first time, all because of your support today. Can you help me keep our ads on the air for another week?

As a first-term State Senator from Oklahoma City, I still have a ways to go in order to match the statewide name recognition of my opponent, who has held public office for 40 years.
Oklahomans are responding positively to my TV ads, which makes me more determined to keep them on the air. We have reached a critical moment in this campaign and your support is extremely important to me.
I will always be grateful for your help.
Sincerely,
Andrew Rice
State Senator
P.S.- Polling shows that incumbent Jim Inhofe is vulnerable after 22 years in Washington where he now protects big oil, insurance companies, and the telecom industry while ignoring the interests of everyday Oklahomans. I need your help today to retire Jim Inhofe from Congress.
