DFA Values:

DAFA member since March, 2004
Elected to the Michigan Women's Hall of Fame in 1991 for work to prevent violence against women.
I created an award-winning Clean Water Act program, and successfully applied for federal and state grants resulting in $3 million for community programs, parks, and infrastructure projects. In 1971, I organized the first rape crisis center in Michigan to help victims of crime; in 1978, the first township task force to protect farmland in Washtenaw County; I also helped to found the Superior Land Conservancy and continue to serve on its Board. In 1992, I led the countywide campaign to build SafeHouse to provide life-saving services for families, and last year, helped to form Citizens to Defend Our Township, to pass Proposal C to stop private sewers which would defeat the community's master plan to control development in sensitive natural areas.
