Flerlage for Congress

Background:

I served 22 years and retired from the Marine Reserve in 2000. I have been active in the community, the Democratic Party and on campaigns preparing myself to serve as a U. S. Reresentative. I understand the issues and organizing from the grassroots level.

Goals:

I know right from wrong and I believe in service. Though the ship has started to turn, we have alot of work to do in our community and country. I believe that we are obligated to serve to the limits of our ability in an effort to leave a better place for future Americans.

Issues:

The priorities of the people are my priorities. The people want security (and safe communities), protection of rights (to include equal rights and the right to health care quality education, a living wage, housing, and a dignified retirement), and prosperity (good jobs in a fair system).

Grassroots Support:

Grassroots organizing is essential to my campaign. The President has shown us the importance of the use of technology (communication and data management) in becoming known and raising support. Grassroots organzing is the job of both the campaign and the party.

DFA Values:

I have sworn to uphold the Constitution and believe in the "2nd Bill of Rights" as described above as well as equal rights for all, the right to privacy and the right to choose. I believe the number one economic threat to the long term prosperity of America is the federal debt
