Who Am I?

Jim Holbert earned his college degree and was certified as a high school science teacher before entering military service.

Jim spent a total of 21 years as an officer in the Army, Army National Guard, and Coast Guard, and since leaving the service, he has worked as a professional pilot throughout the U.S. and overseas.

Jim first worked in Kentucky as an Army officer at Ft. Campbell, and later as a helicopter pilot supporting oil, gas and coalfield work. He now serves the needs of the people of southeast Kentucky as an Emergency Medical Service helicopter pilot based in London, KY.

Jim and his wife Cindy live in Laurel County. They have been married 34 years and have three grown children and one grandchild.

Why Am I Running?

Jim Holbert is running for Congress because we need and end to "business as usual" politics. We need decisive action now on the real issues that are tearing our Country down.

Jim's campaign is based on common sense, speaking the plain truth, and a real alternative to the wrong ideas and failed policies that have involved us in endless foreign wars and wrecked our economy.

Grassroots organizing is the foundation for Jim Holbert's campaign. Jim's reactionary Republican Hal Rogers has been in Congress for 29 years, is known as the "King of Pork," and is bloated with funding from the corporations and special interests.

Only a true grassroots effort and funding from individual contributors can enable Jim Holber to get his message out and give southeast Kentucky better representation in Congress.
