Who Am I?

I'm a first time candidate who's currently 24 years old (I turn 25 in April) who serves as a board member for the Greater Tarpon Springs Democratic Club and previously served as Vice-President for the Pinellas County Young Democrats. For the past five years, I've been working as a photo specialist for a retail pharmacy chain and served as a substitute teacher for Pinellas County Schools for two years. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tarpon Springs High School, St. Petersburg College, and the University of South Florida where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. I've been a lifelong Democrat and describe myself as progressive.

Why Am I Running?

Our country is on the wrong track and America is facing vast and great difficulties. I’m running for Congress to add my voice and ideas address the problems that the career politicians in Washington, D.C. (mostly Republicans) created and seem unable or unwilling to address. I’m running to ensure that the ordinary American has a voice in Congress.

Hold Me Accountable!

1. Put Americans back to work rebuilding this nation. Revive the Works Progress Administration and the Civilian Conservation Corps because they are two programs that have proven to create millions of jobs which is exactly what we need right now.
2. Get big money out of politics so that our democracy is solely in the hands of the people. Members of Congress admit to spending between 33% - 70% of their week raising funds for the next election as opposed to spending that time working to address the issues Americans are facing today and tomorrow.

My DFA values:

I believe that we can and should provide a world-class education for our nation's children. I believe that we can and should retire with dignity free from poverty. I know that we can accomplish these goals within a reasonable budget without leaving a burden of debt on the next generation. I believe we should strengthen partnerships with other nations to ensure security and prosperity for people on our planet. i believe we must reduce our dependence on foreign oil and achieve energy independence. I believe we should fund schools and investment in green jobs over funding no-bid defense contracts that our military doesn't want or need.

My Campaign is People-Powered!

My campaign is a people-powered grassroots campaign because I'm attempting to qualify for the ballot via petitions gathered solely by myself and volunteers and because ordinary people are spreading our message of fixing America now and getting the country back on the right track.
