Who Am I?

Andrews and his wife Diana Atencia are newly married and have lived in the Houston region for decades. They are small business owners. Andrews is President & CEO of Daugherty International and the Firm Manager of the Atencia Law Firm. Between these two firms, Phillip Andrews continues to develop a professional career of solving problems in the most complex of business situations. Furthermore, as an accounting & tax professional, Phillip understands how government is funded and what must be done to change the direction of the nation. He is frequently exposed to international challenges through his work at Daugherty International Corporation and this provides experience on how the USA impacts the world.

Born in Texas, Phillip was raised in Brookshire and Katy. Andrews attended the University of Saint Thomas (UST) in Houston where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Political Science & Philosophy. He then continued at (UST) for a Masters in Accounting while working in accounting firms. Phillip's religious faith is within Judaism.

Why Am I Running?

It is rare that one gets a chance to fight for something meaningful in their life-time. That time is now, and I hope that my campaign provides the chance to express a new vision for our country. I am running because I cannot stay silent while our nation decays. Complaints without action are a contribution to failure. I began this campaign in April 2011 at great cost to my personal life and financial well being. Exhausted is a word that underestimates the magnitude of this journey. But, I am tired of nominating cowards to office and the only thing fueling my continuation is that I am trying to give the American people a better option.

With just a couple dozen volunteers and little resources, we have distributed 20,000 campaign door hangers to homes in just 2 months. This is done while Texas does not even have a primary date set yet due to redistricting problems. We have managed to do this because a growing body of people care enough to basically move forward in the dark.
