Aunesty Janssen for House Representative

Background:

I am working mother, a PTO member and a tax payer. I was a business owner, an employer and I am concerned citizen. I am the wife of a public school teacher and the parent of public school children. I am an active member of my church and an active member of a group that stands up for the freedoms of all. I am supporter of equal rights and of a woman's choice to be in charge of her own body. I am a constiuent of District 14, Olathe, Kansas, and I am ready for change.

Goals:

Over the last year, I have become very active in
politics, believing that we need a choice on the
ballot, that we need more involvement by everyone
in the political process and because I want people
to talk about the issues that face our state.

I have chosen to become a candidate for State
Representative for the 14th district because I care
about the people of my district and want to offer
them a voice in the Capitol.
I want to see change to our education system, I want our schools to be properly funded, and teachers have to ability to get the children who need help, help without jumping through hoops to do it. I want to see equal rights for all. I want to see politicians made accountable for all their actions, for their spending and for who they choose to "lie in bed with".

Issues:

Education - As a parent of four children, the spouse of an elementary school
teacher, and a proud PTO member, I realize the importance of a
quality educational system.

Families - I believe it takes a community to raise a child, and I support
building strong safe communities that have the resources
necessary to help all children succeed. Harsher punishments for sexual offenders, and repeat offenders.
Healthcare - I am committed to making health care affordable and accessible
to all Kansas citizens.

Grassroots Support:

Grassroots organizing will be the only way I can win this race. It will take the work of normal everyday people who want to make a change to successfully elect me. Without the help and support of small groups, I will not win.
