David Sirota is the author of Hostile Takeover: How Big Money and Corruption Conquered Our Government--and How We Take It Back, and is Senior Editor at the progressive newsmagazine In These Times, writes a regular column for The Nation, has a nationally syndicated column which appears in newspapers with a combined daily circulation of 1.6 million. He has appeared as a guest on The Colbert Report, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, PBS Now, Lou Dobbs Tonight, CNBC, and NPR. Sirota is on the board of the Progressive States Network and has worked for progressive candidates including Ned Lamont and Sherrod Brown, and was a press aide and then spokesman for Bernie Sanders, the democratic socialist independent at-large Representative from Vermont.

Voting members vote on all endorsements, elect the NDFA steering committee, and vote on bylaws. To be an NDFA voting member you must have attended three monthly meetings (first Thursday of every month) and done three volunteer activities for our endorsed or adopted candidates in the previous 12 months.
