Politicians campaign on it, the technology already exists, and it's abundant and free; it's nature's solution to global warming and rising oil prices. So why haven't we made the switch to solar and wind power and what can WE do to make that happen?

Michael R. Johnson
Executive Director of Illinois Solar Energy Association
The association's mission is to provide energy education to the Illinois public and promote the widespread application of solar, renewable and sustainable energy methods and technologies. Johnson previously worked as Coordinator of Special Projects at the Chicago Department of Environment, where he led the Department's climate change and renewable energy development initiatives.

Wind for Illinois is a trade association working to increase the use of clean emissions-free wind energy in Illinois. Representing companies and individuals in the wind energy industry, WFI advocates for state-level policies and regulations that encourage rapid and responsible development of wind resources in Illinois. Borgia was previously the Associate Editor of Energy Washington, by Inside Washington Publishers.
