When it comes to mobilizing voters, there is nothing that is more effective than direct voter contact. A phone call or knock on the door from a smiling volunteer can make all the difference in a voter's decision.

This week Night School turns it attention to the two tactics that studies show have the greatest impact on voter turnout: Canvassing & Phonebanking. We'll provide practical tips and advice that you can use when volunteering for campaigns over the next 8 weeks.

Our guests this week will be Lauree Hayden from the Service Employees International Union and Tom Swan from Connecticut Citizen Action and former campaign manager for Ned Lamont.

Night School is DFA's interactive online training program. Every month Night School brings top campaign experts right to your home at absolutely no cost to you. You can listen live from your computer on Blog Talk Radio or call into a nationwide conference call on your telephone. The training will last just over an hour and will be accompanied by a slideshow you can view online or download and print out. Check back here the day of the training to download the slides.

No extra applications are necessary, simply RSVP above and you'll receive an email with all the necessary information. Then join us live on September 17th at 8:30pm EDT for the training.
