Join area progressives at Californos in Westport to watch Barack Obama's historic acceptance speech on a huge screen!
On Thursday, August 28th, Barack Obama will take the stage at Mile High Stadium in Denver Colorado to accept the nomination of the Democratic Party to become the next president of the United States of America. This will be an historic event that we will remember the rest of our lives. Where will you watch it? Some will be lucky enough to be there in person, but for those who are not, let us gather together and make it an enormous unity event that will be unforgettable.
Join Kansas City area Democrats gathering at Californos in Westport on this special night to watch the historic speech and enjoy some live music from local social conscience folk rock band, The Herrmannators, and some sensational teenage rockers from the KC School of Rock House Band. The House Band is made up of the best teen age performers in Kansas City. They are the future of rock and roll in KC!
The exact schedule for music will be dependent on the speech schedule that has yet to be released. At this point, just make plans to spend your evening on August 28th at Californos for an evening you will never forget.
