In 2004 George Bush won Iowa by 3 votes per precinct. Let's not let that happen again!
We will be traveling to Iowa to knock on doors for Senator Barack Obama. This is part of the larger "Illinois to Iowa" effort that has targeted Iowa as a key state. We will be going to Clinton Iowa via bus, about a 2.5 hour drive.
We will meet the bus at 7:30 a.m. sharp at St. Ita's church at 5500 N. Broadway. THIS IS A CHANGE. We will drive to our designated Obama campaign office in Iowa and will meet up with other folks there at 11:00 a.m. We will have a brief training and then will work until 3:00 p.m. at which point we will return to the campaign office for dinner, and then head back to Chicago. We should be back in Chicago by 6:30 p.m.
NOTE: It is now the day before the trip. If you are signing up today please email or call me so I can make sure there is a place for you on the bus. I am at sjv60640@gmail.com or 773-981-0031.
