Since 2005, thousands of DFA members from every state have gotten involved in their local party, giving it new direction, energy & ideas. It’s on this grassroots base that our progressive victories in 2006 & 2008 are built.

Several progressive bloggers have dubbed this influx of new activists into the Democratic Party leadership as the ‘Silent Revolution.’

On Wednesday April 22nd DFA Night School returns for its 2009 season to help you keep this ‘Silent Revolution’ going strong:

One of the greatest victories the progressive movement has achieved in the last five years is taking back the Democratic Party from the forces of caution and ineffective old habits of the previous decade.

The Obama campaign, like the Dean campaign before it, has brought in a whole new class of leaders and activists who will be able to outwork and outmaneuver an entrenched leadership class.

Our guest trainer will be Jennifer Coken, the former Chair of the Denver County Democratic Party. We will spend the hour reviewing proven strategies and ideas you can use to make your local Democratic Party become more open, active and engaged in your community.

Night School is DFA's interactive online training program. Every month Night School brings top campaign experts right to your home at absolutely no cost to you. You can listen live from your computer on Blog Talk Radio at the link provided when you RSVP.

The training will last just over an hour and will be accompanied by a slideshow you can view online or download and print out. Check back here the day of the training to download the slides.
