Agenda:
DFA-Somerset members,
Please join us for our next meeting this Tues. Our meeting is at our regularly scheduled time of 7pm in our usual 40 N. Bridge St. location. However, some of us will be attending the Freeholder agenda meeting at 5pm at 20 Grove St. (3rd Fl., Freeholder meeting room) where they will discuss the agenda for their regular meeting on July 21 (all of their meetings like this are open to the public). The 5pm Freeholder meeting at 20 Grove St. is around the block from our meeting, so easy walking distance. As you know, DFA-Somerset is focused on learning more about what the freeholders are working on so we can speak up and so we can support Cecilia Birge and Doug Singleterry, the Democratic candidates for Freeholder we endorsed last month.
Our July 14 meeting will have 2 main agenda items:
1) discuss anything noteworthy that we saw at the 5pm Freeholder agenda meeting and plan what we'll raise at their regular meeting on July 21 (no worries if you can only make our 7pm meeting - we'll fill you in)
2) discussion with longtime DFA member Bill Weber, who is running for Freeholder in Morris County (we have a history of working with and supporting DFA candidates who aren't necessarily running in our county)
Hope to see you there!
Thanks,
Karen and Abby
