DFW-Madison December Meeting - The WI Valley Grassroots Festival

Please join us for our next Democracy for Wisconsin meeting. We'll be celebrating our victories in last month's elections, and looking forward to the start of a new and more progressive era!

Our guest speaker will be Nate Timm, organizer of the Wisconsin Valley Grassroots Festival. The Festival, scheduled for February 21 in Prairie du Sac, is intended as a winter counterpoint to Fighting Bob Fest. While it will feature some high-profile speakers, the main emphasis will be on education and training for progressive activists and candidates. There will be tracks on current issues, organizing, and electoral politics, as well as time to socialize and network. Nate wants to hear our ideas and suggestions, and because the Festival is still in the planning stage this gives us a unique opportunity to help build and shape it.

I also want to extend a warm welcome to Madison area Obama volunteers and organizers! You did a heck of a job last month, and I hope that you'll be able to join us on Wednesday, both for our meeting and afterwards at the bar for a few beers!
