Democracy for Oregon Leaders

Description:

We're promoting citizen action and citizen ownership of democracy by getting ordinary people like ourselves involved in national, state and local politics.

We seek to create and enhance the progressive community in Oregon by supporting new and existing Democracy for America groups (i.e., DFA Link Groups) throughout Oregon.

We organized the successful DFO Progressive Leadership Summit in May 2005, and this year we will be hosting a 2-day training academy together with the PSU College Democrats.

We work with other groups such as the Bus Project, unions, and Onward Oregon on actions and initiatives that promote our progressive values and goals.

We formed a PAC, DFO Action, with the primary goal of helping to turn the Oregon House Blue and defeat the horrible leadership of Karen Minnis.

We are also closely involved with the efforts of the Oregon Voter Rights Coalition to help bring transparent, secure, and accurate elections to Oregon and the nation.
