After watching all the debates so far, Dem and Rep. I have come to yhe conclusion that the only way I can be honest with myself is to go all out for Dennis Kucinich. I like alot of what he says but the most important issue to me is healthcare. His idea is a universal single payer system . Whenever this is mentioned in the media it's poo-pooed as a bad idea, look at Canada they say their people come here for care, not true I have met many Canadians in my travels and I always ask them about health care every single one has told me the same thing , " Their system has it flaws but they wouldn't trade it for ours". This summer I took a trip to Nova Scotia and was surprised to see the large number of huge pharmacies full of tourists (older people) then I realized they were all Americans getting perscriptions cheap, in Canada, so in reality the reverse is true we go there. Also for several years I lived in Spain with my husband a Spanish citizen we were covered under their healthcare system and it was fantastic, our sons peditrician was trained at Mt.Sinai Hospital in NYC. she was great . I never had to wait for service the offices were clean and well equipped, in short I was impressed with the whole system. We here in the U.S. are being fed alot of propaganda, if you want the talk to people from other places ask them questions about their healthcare systems compared to here. Stop believing the HYPE.
