... please consider this as an open invitation to all draft-Gore supporters, who largely lurk here or who have left BFA and randomly lurk, to listen to what Al has to say and decide for yourselves, if actively supporting the 2008 democratic nominee for president, is time well spent for you, in the coming months

to announce my support for Senator Barack Obama. From now through Election Day, I intend to do whatever I can to make sure he is elected President of the United States.

Over the next four years, we are going to face many difficult challenges -- including bringing our troops home from Iraq, fixing our economy, and solving the climate crisis. Barack Obama is clearly the candidate best able to solve these problems and bring change to America.

I've never asked members of AlGore.com to contribute to a political campaign before, but this moment and this election are too important to let pass without taking action.

That's why I am asking you to join me today in showing your support for Barack Obama

good post rd, thanks. It took me a while to warm up to any of the candidates, including Obama, but I like him more and more. And even if I didn't, "even our dogs and cats know Elections Matter." I'm certain he'll do many positive, healing, and progressive things, and do some things not as progressively as we/I'd like ~ that's ok. Why, because I'm just as certain there's no chance a McC administration would do anything positive for this country, in fact should that come to pass we're flushed (down the toilet *Coup has put us in.)

I saw Al's endorsement as very strong, I don't need him to smile at any particular moment, he's not a smiley guy and it was a serious speech.

I am a newby to the political world, even though I am 43 years old.  But hearing Al Gore, who everyone knows, give such a wonderful speech is something to behold. I could not imagine having Al Gore get on a stage and talk so glowingly of me!  What a head trip that would be!

Euphoric idear.  Many of us here were new to the political world with the Dean campaign.  Welcome!
