Greetings fellow progressives:

As you know, I am a progressive, pro-labor, Democratic candidate for Missaukee County Commissioner.  In 12 days, I will order my yard signs at a cost of approximately $560, and I need your help.  As of today, I am $372 short of my goal.  Can I count on you to contribute $11 toward the cost of a yard sign, and spread the message of change in Northern Michigan?  Making a contribution is easier than ever.  Just click on the link below, and make a secure, online contribution using PayPal...

I am running because I believe in fiscal responsibility, government accountability, and I want to restore integrity to the office of County Commissioner for my district.

I am involved in the community.  I am a member of Lake City United Methodist Church, where I serve as Chairman of the Social Concerns Committee, which works on human rights issues, and I am a member of the Church Council.  I am a volunteer for the Beacon Project, which helps elementary school children learn.

I have government experience.  I served two years as an aide to Democratic Congressman Bart Stupak, helping our Veterans deal with the V.A., and representing the Congressman at numerous meetings and events.

My race will be competitive, but I believe I have the advantage.  I have managed six campaigns for public office, winning five, defeating incumbents each time.  Plus, my opponent, the Republican incumbent, has significant personal and political baggage.

However, campaigns cost money, and I am just a financially challenged college student.  I need to raise at least $3,000 to pay for things like printing, postage, gas for going door-to-door, yard signs, and more.  Our County Party is very small, with limited resources, so I am counting on support from Democratic friends everywhere to help my campaign.

I hope I can count on you to contribute $11 toward the cost of a yard sign.  Making a contribution is easier than ever.  Just click on the link below, and make a secure, online contribution using PayPal...
