Description:
DFA-Denver is an enduring community group. It has three dimensions:
1. Social. It is a fun organization. As such, it sponsors community events. Club nights. Picnics. Monthly Birthday buffets. Hmmm. What else?
2. Discussion/Lecture Meetings. Sometimes, we have discussion meetings about the issues of the day. Other times, we have respected experts do presentations on various topics.
3. Campaign Volunteerism We are developing into a multi-faceted organization with phone banking, door-to-door, speaker divisions. By taking advantage of the best volunteer trainings out there, DFA-Denver would become an in-demand force that could work on targeted issues & electing candidates.
DFA-Denver aims to be a group that addresses both social & activist concerns among its members. It intends to be well-rounded. This is what makes the group unique. It is social. It is providing thought provoking events. It is continuously strengthening the campaign skills of its membership. Instead of volunteers that move on after the end of a campaign, it will deepen & grow between political cycles. By coming to us, a campaign does not have to start from the ground floor.
