Description:
Democracy for NYC (DFNYC) is a volunteer-driven non-profit political action committee. We are part of a national coalition of local groups committed to the ideals espoused by Democracy for America, the organization founded by Howard Dean.
We work both locally and nationally to insure that fiscally responsible and socially progressive candidates win elections at all levels of government. We develop innovative was to advocate for the issues that matter to our members and promote legislation which has a positive effect in our communities. We engage people in the political process and give them the tools to organize, communicate, mobilize, and enact change on the local, state, and national level.
To contact DFNYC please write to info -at- dfnyc.org (replace -at- with @) or call 646-219-8478.
Stay informed by signing up for the Democracy for NYC weekly email newsletter, a comprehensive guide to local and national progressive politics. It contains an indexed list of events, actions, and information from DFNYC and other like-minded groups.
