Sunday stops from Gerry

Sunday~

***************round of articles about our domestic ‘issues’ ~ September 7th,  2008

Yesterday I heard Ralph Nader (on FSTV~seebelow) reminding of that Chinese quote:

“To Know, and NOT to Act, is not to Know!”

  • Franklin Delano Roosevelt warned Congress in 1938 that when government is controlled by private economic power, that he called fascism!!!.
  • Why is ‘the corporation’ given the RIGHTS of the individual, the rights of a human being?
  • Why is ‘the corporation’’s interest NOT subservient to the rights of ‘The People”????
  • How did we allow ‘the corporation’ to become sovereign over the power of the citizens ~to become our legal master?
  • Can we afford to continue to allow ‘the corporation’ to game the system and so avoid accountability?
  • Are our coporatons responsible for stealing our elections?

Absolutely “Must See TV”

Watch it at 11:00am today, Sept. 7 on FSTV- that’s FREE SPEECH TV

what both candidates,

what both campaigns and what both parties, really ought to be talking about!

Ralph quotes Cicero: freedom is participation in power” Ask yourself, and then answer honestly .. do you participate in power?

Are you free?

Keynote: Ralph Nader  The Road to Corporate Fascism

Ralph Nader argues that the central political issue of our time

 is giant corporate power.

And now, for the bad news….

Hypocrisy of this Magnitude has to be Respected.
By William Blum
06/09/08 "ICH" - -- Im sorry to say that I think that John McCain is going to be the next president of the United States. After the long night of Bush horror any Democrat should easily win, but the Dems are screwing it up and McCain has been running more-or-less even with Barack Obama in the polls. The Democrats should run on the slogan "If you liked Bush, you'll love McCain", but that would be too outspoken, too direct for the spineless Nancy Pelosi and her spineless party. Or, "If you liked Iraq, you'll love Iran." But the Democrat leadership is not on record as categorically opposing either conflict.

Sold for £20: just two of India's million stolen children

In a country with 11 million abandoned children, the fate of those from loving homes who are kidnapped to order goes unnoticed. Many are sold for adoption, often to Westerners; others are trafficked into slavery or the sex trade - yet the police rarely care. Gethin Chamberlain in Delhi reports
