About This Event:

On Thursday, March 14th at 6:30 PM, the Department of Environmental Conservation will be hosting an information session on its' Hemlock-Canadice Unit Management Plan (http://www.dec.ny.gov/lands/68822.html) at the Springwater Fire Hall (8145 South Main Street; PO Box 289, Springwater, New York 14560). The plan includes the possibility of hydrofracking for natural gas within the Hemlock-Canadice Watershed, the City of Rochester's primary water supply. Please join us to express our opposition to fracking the public lands around these lakes, as well as across the state.

CARPOOL to Springwater: Meet at the Flying Squirrel Community Space (285 Clarissa St., Rochester) at 5pm. Departure from the Squirrel will be at 5:30pm. Please note that the GPoMC's monthly meeting will not be occurring as regularly scheduled.
