What's Coming
Happy New Year DFA!
With the holidays coming to a close, we realize that thinking about the next election may not be a top priority. After all, we just worked nonstop and our incredible across the board victories are only just starting to sink in. Many activists took time in December to celebrate successes, evaluate what worked, and recharge the engines.
We wanted to let you know what's on the agenda for January: New Year's (Political) Resolutions.
The start of the New Year is the time to make personal commitments for the upcoming year. Yours might be as simple as writing one letter to the editor per month, or as ambitious as running for local office. You could commit to bringing at least one friend to the next three events. Or set up a lobbying meeting with your congressperson by the end of February. One thing is for sure: 2007 is going to be a big year for progressives. You decide how big. Then you commit to make it happen.

Grade DFA
How is DFA doing?
2006 has been tremendous. We won the United States Senate and House, a majority of governorships, recaptured state legislative chambers and elected hundreds of local candidates. Democrats are in a position to make more gains in 2007 and reclaim the White House in 2008. Towards these ends, we are drawing up plans for the next two years. However, in order to plan more effectively, we'd like to have a better understanding of our 2006 performance.
Will you help by grading DFA? Please share your thoughts on which actions worked best in your local area. Which actions were a home run and which weren't a good fit for you? Give us a grade on our 2006 actions:
