Where would we be without Howard Dean?

Lindsay Lewis, Democracy for America's National Finance Director, sent this message today to DFA supporters.

Dear Friend,

Here in Boston, delegates, activists and supporters have been thanking Governor Dean for bringing passion back to our party. They are grateful that he helped us remember our fundamental values, taught us how to stand up for ourselves again, and put politics back in the hands of the people.

As he prepares to speak to the convention tonight, we have put up "the bat" to say thank you to Governor Howard Dean:

Democrats in Boston and across the country are fired up to get out there and win this election. We know what we want -- and we will fight for it. And Howard Dean helped us get here.

He put the issues important to us on the agenda: health insurance for every American, balancing the budget by repealing tax cuts for elites, and returning to a moral foreign policy based on American values.

This is your opportunity to say thanks to Howard Dean for standing up and giving us a voice:

By putting his campaign in the hands of the people, he changed the way politics works. Howard Dean took the leap and today all Democrats are reaping the rewards.

Last quarter, John Kerry received more money from small donors than George Bush could rake in from the corporate interests that finance his campaign. That is real campaign finance reform.

Make a contribution to Democracy for America now to say thank-you to Howard Dean:

When you make your contribution, you will be able to send a personal message to Governor Dean -- share your story or just send a note of thanks.

We have made history together. Today, say thank-you to Howard Dean for reminding us that we have the power.

National Finance Director
