Ending the War in Iraq

From the start, the war in Iraq has been a disaster for America, damaging our moral standing in the world and serving as a painful reminder to Americans that too often the old ways of Washington stand in direct contradiction to the people’s best interests.

Solving the Climate Crisis

One of the most pressing issues facing the global community in the 21^st Century is climate change. All over the world, human consumption and carbon emissions threaten species’ and ecosystems’ existence. Intricately balanced environmental habitats are on the verge of being irrevocably damaged and a number of factors that could endanger human life loom on the horizon.

Achieving Universal Health Care

Currently, at least 47 million Americans do not have healthcare coverage. Over 14,000 Americans lose their health insurance every day and more than 44,000 Americans die each year. Estimates show millions more Americans are under-insured, which too often leads to bankruptcies that tear families apart. Every other industrialized nation in the world provides a basic standard of universal care for its citizens. DFA members are working make sure America’s sick are no longer left behind.
