Democracy for America hosts Iraq for Sale Screening
Burlington, VT – In conjunction with Democracy for America (DFA), Democracy for Tennessee will host a film screening of “Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers” on Sunday, October 8 at 7pm in Murfreesboro.
Film Director Robert Greenwald has gained notoriety through other movies such as Outfoxed and WalMart: The High Cost of Low Price. In Iraq for Sale, Greenwald takes viewers inside the lives of soldiers, truck drivers, widows and children who have been changed forever as a result of profiteering in the reconstruction of Iraq. The film uncovers the connections between private corporations making a killing in Iraq and the decision makers who let it happen.
“DFA groups around the country have set up over 200 screenings of Iraq for Sale to highlight the damage done by Iraq war profiteers,” said Jim Dean, chair of Democracy for America. “Democracy for Tennessee is a great local partner, doing the vital work necessary to take our country back.”
Founded by Governor Howard Dean, Democracy for America is returning America to its roots as a country of innovation, progress, economic security, and community strength. Through on-line and off-line actions, DFA empowers individuals to take their country back – one election at a time, from school board to the United States Congress.
