BURLINGTON, VT -- Yesterday, Democracy for America (DFA) announced the endorsement of Senator Jon Corzine for Governor of New Jersey -- making him the newest member of the DFA-List, Candidates for America. Each candidate encompasses the true spirit of grassroots democracy, fiscal responsibility, and social progress.

"Jon Corzine has proven that he is dedicated to changing this country from the ground up by empowering all citizens, not just the special interests," said Jim Dean, Chair of Democracy for America. Jon Corzine has been a member of the United States Senate since 2001. While he could have spent the rest of his political career coasting on his incumbency, he instead has set off in a new direction. The 'Corzine Connection' knocks down barriers to political participation, letting all interested supporters contribute their views and voices to his effort.
