Democracy for America Endorses Jackie Minchew
Candidate for City Council of Everett, Washington
BURLINGTON, VT -- Today, Democracy for America (DFA) endorsed Jackie Minchew for city council of Everett, Washington -- making him the newest member of the DFA-List, Candidates for America.
"Jackie Minchew's focus on preserving the environment, creating jobs and having an open government shows his commitment to fiscal responsibility and social progress," said Jim Dean, Chair of Democracy for America. "His record of leadership and dedication to his community sets an example for others to watch and follow."
Heeding the advice of Governor Howard Dean, Jackie decided to get involved in his community by running for local office. He was elected Precinct Committee Officer and co-founded Democracy for Snohomish County. Now he wants to continue his commitment to the citizens of Everett by serving on the city council.
