Jim Dean's Response to the Indictment of Rep. Tom DeLay

BURLINGTON, VT -- Jim Dean, Chair of Democracy for America (DFA), issued the following statement in response to the indictment of House Majority Leader Tom DeLay today:

"Sadly, the indictment of Tom DeLay didn't come as a surprise. This is an accountability moment. The Republicans' culture of corruption has become the norm in Washington and has violated the trust of the public and is eroding the moral integrity of our nation. We expect a full and vigorous investigation for the sake of the American people and the integrity of our democracy."
