Democracy for America supports Brooklyn Congressional candidate Chris Owens

Burlington, VT — On behalf of the progressive grassroots, Democracy for America has contributed $5,000 to trailblazer Chris Owens who is running for New York's 11th Congressional district.

Chris Owens enjoys the enthusiastic support of Democracy for New York City, DFA's local grassroots organization, because of his courageous opposition to the Iraq war from the beginning, his support for women's reproductive rights, and his affordable housing plan for Brooklynites.

Democracy for America, which was founded by Howard Dean in 2004, is a political action committee dedicated to building a grassroots network of socially progressive and fiscally responsible activists running for all levels of office — from the school board to the United States Senate. DFA is empowering everyday Americans to reform their political system.
