Democracy for America Hosts Health Care Forum in Chicago Today

CHICAGO, IL – Last month Democracy for America (DFA) launched the Health Care for America campaign in partnership with filmmaker Michael Moore. Now, DFA is  kicking off their national Health Care Forums on Wednesday, August 1 at 8pm at the UNITE HERE! Union Hall in Chicago.

The panel discussion will be led by Jim Dean, Chair of Democracy for America. Guests include DFA-List Alderman Joe Moore, Claudia Fagan of Physicians for National Health Care Plan, and John Bouman from the Sargent Shriver Center on Poverty Law.

Participants will be invited to share their health care horror stories, hear policy solutions, learn ways to get active in their communities, and sign up to bring their stories to Senators Richard Durbin and Barack Obama. Plus, Michael Moore's SiCKO! Health Care cards will be distributed.
