breakfast discussion of our nation's present and future budget problems

Written by: Rebecca Jackson on Aug 8, 2006 11:39 AM EDT

In case any of you are interested...

It is my pleasure to invite you to a breakfast discussion of our nation's present and future budget problems on Thursday, August 24, 2006 hosted by the Union League Club's Public Affairs Committee. The event costs $25.

Comptroller General of the United States David Walker and Concord Coalition Executive Director Robert Bixby will discuss how our current budget deficits are only a harbinger of much larger fiscal problems. The retirement of the Baby Boom will place an unprecedented strain on the Federal Budget, and they will describe the hard choices we will need to make. This presentation is especially timely with mid-term elections nearly upon us.
Should you have any questions or would like to attend, please contact Tristan Cohen at 703.894.6222 or at tcohen@concordcoalition.org.

With kindest regards,
Corey Davison
