[AU DFA] Wal Mart Movie Wednesday and Training Tickets

Hey DFA'ers,

This Wednesday night at 9:30 PM in Ward 1 we are pre-screening the new movie "Wal Mart: The High Cost of Low Price." We are co-hosting this with College Dems who will have free pizza at the event! Please please come and bring out your friends.

We are also preparing for our big training on Sunday December 4. I will have tickets available at the movie screening Wednesday and for those that want to help sell them you can take some to sell to friends. They are only $5 for training on great progressive political skills and lunch is included and it's right here on campus! For anyone who can help organize these events, or upcoming community service trips let me know.

[AU DFA] Help Get out the Vote Tommorow!

Hey everyone,

Tommorow is election day in VA and we are going to help GET OUT THE VOTE! We are helping a delegate campaign but of course we will help get Democrats out to make a statement that Virginia is turning blue. This is critical and if there is any chance you can come, please do. We will be leaving from the LA Quad at 2:15 pm, and volunteering there from 4-7 pm and coming right back. It's very important we do well tommorow. The media has their story and they are sticking to it: "The Democrats have no positive plan for Iraq." But the facts state othwerwise. Many prominent Democrats have been proposing intelligent and thoughtful plans over the last couple weeks, and we ought to tell the media to tell the truth- "The Democrats have a responsible and positive vision to bring our troops home."

The ranking Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee Ike Skelton from MO has released a plan-
Waynesville Daily Guide- Link . Also John Kerry released a plan- the Post has the story- Link . Also the Democrats along with Madeline Alrbight and a former Bush staffer released an anti-terror strategy- Link .

You could also choose to write about the possible upcoming Supreme Court showdown on nominee Judge Samuel Alito. He is an extremist conservative activist judge who may threaten our rights as Americans. Think Progress has the run down on Alito and some good talking points.
