Hi Everyone,

Maryland is not the only state in our area with a Senate race this year. Our neighbors to the south have an opportunity to not only add another Democratic seat to the Senate, but more with our help, they can reduce the chances of another conservative Republican candidate for President in 2008.

James Webb, former Secretary of the Navy under Reagan and one of the earliest and most vocal opponents of the Iraq War, has been recruited into running for the Senate as a Democrat in Virginia against Sen. George Allen who is one of the leading Republican candidates for President in 2008. Webb is the Dems best chance at knocking off Allen this year and reducing the chances he will be the Republican nominee in 2008. Check out his website at: Link

Some of the people involved in Democracy for Virginia are part of his campaign. They are getting people together tomorrow, Monday, February 20th in Alexandria to gather petition signatures to get him on the ballot and march in a parade. They are meeting between 12:15pm and 12:30pm at 301 King Street in Alexandria. The nearest Metro station is King Street and from there walk toward the river. The parade starts at 1pm.

Re: Event in VA Tomorrow

Is anyone from Baltimore or points north headed to this event tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.? If so, may I request a ride. I can pay for gasoline.

Best regards,
Jay
